Binning Ranges into Categories

There are times when you will want to do a binning exercise that allows you to further categorize your data. For example, in the dataset below, a Filtergram on the "Ownership" variable displays all of the vales for that variable. But looking closely, we see that all of the values really do distill down into two types--Government and Non-Profit. So let's create a new variable in our dataset to capture that distinction--and here's a short binning video to show you how we can do that.
